Charles River Laboratories - Mechanical Installation
The project by Alpha Mechanical Services Ltd. consisted of the mechanical services installation over two floors in a 100,000 sq. ft. warehouse building including, reception, toilets, open plan offices, testing laboratories and a new plant-room to serve the complete building. The installation also included Fabric Ducting, an innovative and cost effective fabric alternative to traditional metal ductwork providing precise and efficient heating, cooling, or ventilating for virtually any building application. Engineered to distribute and disperse air in open and finished ceiling architecture, critical environments and underfloor applications. They are an innovative, cost-effective and aesthetically pleasing alternative to metal ductwork or spaces with large air diffusers and no ductwork.

New VRV units throughout.
New gas fired waters heaters.
New mains water and cold water storage tanks.
Water services.
Soils and wastes.
Sanitary ware installation.
Centralised AHU serving the office space.
Centralised combined DX and gas fired air handling unit to provide close temperature control to the warehouse.
Fire damper installation.
New Building Energy Management System.
Warehouse temperature monitoring system for critical temperature control.
